Break down revenue

Group orders by source, campaign, country or product with event, first-click or last-click attribution.

Use the Revenue page to see orders and revenue grouped by one dimension. Revenue must already be tracked as described in the revenue tracking guide.

  1. Open Revenue and choose the date range. Amounts use the project’s permanent currency.

  2. In Revenue by breakdown, set Break down by to Country, Region, Source, Campaign, Page or Product.

  3. Set Attribution:

    • Event (as recorded) uses the values stored with each order.
    • First click credits the earliest source or campaign visit by the same person before the order.
    • Last click credits the most recent one.
  4. For first and last click, set Lookback days from 1 to 90 (default 30).

  5. Read Orders, Revenue, Average order value and Revenue per visitor. Orders with no qualifying visit appear as Direct or unknown.

  6. Select Export CSV to download the table.

What you should see: a ranked table for the chosen breakdown, with a text summary of the largest group.

On sites with identified tracking and profiles, a Customers table lists identified customers by revenue, with First order and Last order, plus Unique customers, Repeat customers and Repeat rate. Use Search customers to find an external id.

  • The report reads up to 20,000 orders. Beyond that a notice says totals cover part of the period; narrow the range.
  • Orders in more than one currency cannot be shown, and no currency conversion happens.
  • Visitor ids change daily, so attribution links visits across days only through customer profiles.
  • Export needs the data export permission, and Customers needs the profiles permission because external ids can be personal data.
