Metric How Supermetry calculates it Visitors Distinct daily visitor IDs. The ID is derived for one site and local day, so a multi-day total adds each day’s distinct visitors. Pageviews The number of accepted pageview events. Custom events are not pageviews. Visits The number of sessions. Activity joins the current session until it has been idle for more than 30 minutes; a site-local day boundary also ends it. Bounce rate Bounced visits ÷ visits × 100. A bounce is a session with exactly one pageview and no custom events. Visit duration Total time from each visit’s first event to its last event ÷ visits, reported in seconds. A visit with one event has zero duration. Time on page Total recorded engagement time for the page ÷ sessions that recorded engagement for that page, reported in seconds. Sessions with no recorded engagement do not enter the denominator. Exit rate Visits whose exit page is this page ÷ pageviews of this page × 100, capped at 100%. -
Treat a zero denominator as a value of
0, not an error. Rates are percentages; durations are seconds.
