Enable and watch session replay
Enable replay at the instance and site levels, then configure masking and sampling.
Enable the instance and project replay gates before recording sampled browser sessions.
-
Stop Supermetry, then restart it with instance replay permission:
Terminal window SUPERMETRY_REPLAY_ENABLED=true supermetry -
Confirm the site uses its per-site snippet from Site settings → Installation. Generic script URLs do not start replay.
-
Open Site settings → Replay and enable Enable session replay for this project.
-
Enable Mask page content when the recording must hide page text. Input values are always masked. An instance-level
SUPERMETRY_REPLAY_MASK=truesetting locks masking on. -
Set Sample rate (%) from 0 through 100 and choose Consent, then select Save replay settings. A zero sample rate records nothing.
-
Open Replays from the sidebar, or open Sessions and select Replay on a row that has a recording.
-
Narrow a long list with Search replays (entry or exit path, country, browser, trigger or event name), Minimum duration in seconds, Maximum duration in seconds and Event activity (Any activity, Has events or No events). Filters are kept in the page address, so you can share the filtered view.
-
Select the bookmark on a replay (Save replay) to keep it, then switch Replay view to Saved to list only yours. Saved markers belong to your account. List layout switches between Table and Cards.
The player scales the recorded page to fit its stage, and has Open in new page for a full-page view.
What you should see: Effective recording reports On, and recorded sessions offer a Replay action.
