Configure webhooks and chat

Send alert notifications to a webhook, Slack incoming webhook, or Discord webhook.

Create an organization notification channel for site alerts.

  1. Select the organization, open Settings, then select Notifications and Add channel. Only Owners and Admins can manage channels.

  2. Set Channel type to Webhook, Slack, or Discord.

  3. Enter a descriptive Name and paste the destination’s Endpoint URL.

  4. For a generic Webhook, optionally enter a Signing secret. Signed requests include X-Supermetry-Timestamp and X-Supermetry-Signature headers.

  5. Leave Enabled checked and select Create channel.

  6. Select Send test to channel name. Creating a channel does not add it to an alert; select it when creating or editing the alert.

What you should see: Supermetry reports Test notification sent to <channel name>.

Each channel type (email, Slack, Discord, Telegram, webhook) has its own message template, below the channel list on the same Notifications page.

  1. Pick the Template channel.

  2. Edit the Message (up to 4,096 characters). Email also has a Subject.

  3. Use only the listed variables, written like {{.value}}: alert_id, alert_kind, site_id, value, threshold, from, to, fired_at.

  4. Check the Sample preview, which uses fixed sample data, then select Save template. Select Reset to default to go back to the built-in text.

An invalid template shows an error in the preview and cannot be saved.
