Create a shared dashboard
Create a revocable, read-only dashboard link with chosen sections, a locked scope, an optional password, an expiry and opt-in embedding.
Share one site’s aggregate dashboard without creating a user account, and decide exactly what the link shows.
-
Open the site, select Settings, then select Shares.
-
Under Visible sections, tick what visitors may see: KPIs, Chart, Pages, Sources, Locations, Devices, Where, Weekly rhythm and Goals.
-
Optionally lock the audience. Pick a Saved segment or enter a Locked country. Visitors cannot remove or replace the filter, and the segment is snapshotted when the link is created.
-
Set Date range to Rolling (with Rolling days) or Fixed (with From and the end date). Maximum range (days) caps what a visitor can query, up to 366 days; the server rejects anything wider.
-
Choose a Theme: Light, Dark or System.
-
To protect the dashboard, enter an Optional share password with at least 6 characters.
-
Set Expiry to Never, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or 365 days.
-
Select Create link, then Copy link and send it to the recipient. Send the password separately if you set one. The Share preview panel shows the sections, theme and locks before you create it.
-
Return to Shares to select Extend 90 days or Revoke for an existing link.
Embed a shared dashboard
Section titled “Embed a shared dashboard”Shared dashboards cannot be framed by other sites unless you opt in for that link.
-
Turn on Allow embedding.
-
Enter the Allowed origins that may frame the page, for example
https://status.example.com. You can list up to 20 origins. -
Select Create link, then Copy embed code to get an
<iframe>snippet.
Embedding on any origin is possible only if you leave the list empty and tick Allow embedding on any origin. Supermetry warns that any website can then frame the dashboard.
What you should see: the new link appears with its password status, expiry, section count and theme.
