Upload an Umami website_event CSV to reconstruct aggregate analytics history.
-
Export the source site’s
website_eventrows as CSV with a header. The required columns aresession_id,created_atandevent_type; recognized dimensions includeurl_path,referrer_domain,country,browser,os,deviceandevent_name. -
Check the header before uploading.
Terminal window head -n 1 umami-website_event.csv -
Set the Supermetry site’s timezone before importing. Timestamps are grouped into that site’s local calendar days.
-
Open the target site and select Settings → Imports & export. Choose Umami, select
umami-website_event.csv, and select Upload import. Only owners and admins can import; the maximum file size is 512 MB. -
Wait for the status to become Completed. Visitor totals are reconstructed from distinct sessions per local day because the export has no stable visitor ID.
What you should see: the import table shows the CSV as Completed, with its processed row count and imported date range.
