Migrating to Supermetry
Choose a supported historical analytics import and understand what it adds.
Choose the import format that matches your existing analytics export.
-
Open the target site in Supermetry, then open Settings → Imports & export.
-
Prepare one supported file:
Source File Imported data Plausible ZIP export Daily totals, pages, sources, entry and exit pages, locations, devices, browsers, operating systems and custom events Umami website_eventCSVDaily totals, pages, sources, countries, devices, browsers, operating systems and custom events reconstructed from sessions Google Analytics 4 Report or BigQuery-style CSV Daily totals plus pages, landing pages, sources, locations, devices, browsers, operating systems and custom events, depending on the columns present Mixpanel Raw event export (JSON lines or CSV; plain, gzip or ZIP) Visits rebuilt per visitor and day: daily totals, pages, entry and exit pages, sources, locations, devices and custom events Amplitude Event export (JSON lines; usually a ZIP of hourly .json.gzfiles)The same as Mixpanel -
Follow the matching guide and upload the file. Imports add aggregate history; they do not create raw event or session timelines.
-
For GA4, Mixpanel and Amplitude, select Preview import first. The preview parses the file and stores nothing. It shows accepted, skipped and duplicate rows (skipped rows list their row numbers), the date range, totals and how many days overlap earlier imports or live data. Select Confirm import to continue. Plausible and Umami files upload directly.
-
Wait for the import status to become Completed. Per day, the newest completed import wins and live tracking data always wins, so re-importing an overlapping range does not double count.
Uploads are limited to 512 MB. Only owners and admins can import. Imports store daily aggregates only; event-export ids are used in memory to group events and are never stored.
What you should see: the imported date range contributes to supported dashboard totals and single-dimension breakdowns without changing native tracked days.
