Use the instance admin console

Manage users, organizations, sites, instance settings and the two-factor policy as an instance administrator.

The instance administration area is for people who run the whole installation. It is visible only to instance admins.

  1. Open the account menu and select Instance administration.

  2. Use the sections: Users, Organizations, Sites, Instance settings and Security.

Search by name or email. For each user you can Enable or Disable the account, Require password reset, and Make instance admin or Remove instance admin. Rows show Instance admin, Disabled, Password reset required, 2FA on and the last sign-in. Disabling a user signs them out until you enable them again. The last enabled instance admin cannot be removed or disabled.

Organizations lists members, sites and the Site quota (read-only). Sites shows Pageviews, Last event and Retention. Search by slug or domain.

  • Sign-up mode: Invitation only or Open to anyone.
  • Show session replay in the interface: controls whether replay appears in the dashboard.

Set the Two-factor policy here. See Enable two-factor authentication.

Recent administration activity lists the latest admin actions. Every admin change is audited.

What you should see: after a change, the page shows Saved. and the row reflects the new state.
